  • VITAMIN D deficiency has also been associated with reduced bone mineral density, high bone turnover, and increased risk of hip fracture in the elderly2.
  • Recent Australian Research has shown that 22% of hostel residents and 45% of nursing home residents were deficient in VITAMIN D3.
  • In addition to this, research has also indicated that VITAMIN D supplementation can reduce falls and fractures in the elderly by 224.
